"Skidmark"

This page is dedicated to our former GTP Coupe. This Grand Prix is probably my favorite car next to the Corvette. She was a great looking, great running car that never gave me any problems. The supercharged 3.8l had plenty of power and was very friendly to performance mods. While I never went really wild with the go-fast goodies, I did up the horsepower and fun factor a bit. The car dynoed 230 hp at the wheels, 276 hp at the crank(est), and an estimated 297 lb/ft torque. On the track her best was 14.388 at 97.93 mph. There are many cars quicker than this but I'm sure, with a better driver, this one had more to give.

This was my first car to receive extensive upgrades and I spent three years customizing her to reflect my tastes and personality. "Skidmark" was very unique, starting with the beautiful factory Dark Bronzemist Metallic paint. My favorite upgrade was the Katzkin leather interior, followed closely by the original F1 hood, and the MSR chrome 18" rims! This car garnered many awards at shows and many second looks as it cruised down the hiway. Check out the pix page to see more of what made this car special.
